VALICATE is a quick way to make sure that the account you’re paying on or about to pay on is owned by the company that claims to own it. Fraud is rampant in the credit industry, especially with certain account types. Whether it is poor network security allowing hackers in or rogue employees selling data illegally to other companies, sometimes you find yourself pulled between two (or more) creditors claiming to own the same account.

VALICATE helps eliminate fraud by allowing you to lookup your account, not only to verify that we own it, but also to find out who EVER owned the account before we did*. Have we assigned your account to an outside collection agency? VALICATE will tell you, and will give you the contact information for the collection agency.

 * Some purchase contracts require that we only display the most recent owner before us. If you see “REDACTED” on a prior owner’s name, please contact us. We simply need to obtain written permission from our broker to share the information. A court order supersedes the need for authorization.
